Meg Ryan, 61, Was Spotted Unrecognizable as She Made a Rare Public Appearance In NYC

The Sleepless in Seattle star named Meg Ryan was spotted looking unrecognizable as she appeared publicly in New York, where she came to support her friend named Michael J. Fox, at the screening of his recent documentary at the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

The 61-year-old veteran Hollywood actress who didn’t make any public appearances since November 2022, was seen in good spirits while she was posing for photos with her friends, Michael, Elvis Costello, and Bill Murray.

The Top Gun actress always denied that she ever went through any cosmetic treatment or plastic surgery, However, it was quite obvious that she was looking completely different with wrinkle-free skin, and plumper lips.

Meg was spotted unrecognizable as she wore a pair of plaid pants along with a red blouse, and a black color trench coat with matching boots.

After looking at Ryan’s photos, her fans became shocked and they couldn’t stop themselves to express their feelings on Twitter, regarding her unrecognizable look, the baffled fans also claimed that she must go through plastic surgery because she wanted to look younger than her actual age.

“This is Meg Ryan. Hopefully, women will learn from this. Plastic Surgery is for Frankenstein,” someone wrote.

“Meg Ryan spent thousands to make herself unrecognizable and hideous,” another one wrote by attaching after-before pictures of her.

“Yikes…just say no to Botox and fillers ladies. Don’t take it from me, take it from Madonna and Meg Ryan,” a third said.

“Wtf has Meg Ryan done to her face?!” a fan asked.

“This is Meg Ryan Now? WTF Happened? Christ……” someone else said.

Her furious fans didn’t stop there and they started to compare her new appearance with Madonna, who has been making headlines since she got plastic surgery which her fans calls a ‘horrible attempt’ of her to look much younger than her age on behalf of American actress, Idina Menzel.

“Meg Ryan and Madonna should team up for a horror flick,” a person wrote.

“Jesus wtf did she do. Meg Ryan looks awful. Her and Madonna obviously have the same plastic surgeon,” someone else wrote.

Meg has worked in so many notable projects in Hollywood during her career including, City of Angles, In the Cut, My Mom’s New Boyfriend, Sleepless in Seattle, Joe Versus the Volcano, Kate & Leopold, Against the Ropes, Rich and Famous, Flesh and Bone, When a Man Loves a Woman, You’ve Got Mail, French Kiss, I.Q., D.O.A., and Proof of life.

In one of her interviews with Porter Magazine in the year 2015, the actress opened up about her fans’ assumptions regarding her cosmetic treatment and said,

“I don’t pay a lot of attention, frankly. There’s a lot of hatred in the world today. It’s so easy to judge. Imagine being a hater, how stupid.”

She also said, “I was burned out. I didn’t feel like I knew enough anymore about myself or the world to reflect it as an actor. I felt isolated.”

One year later, the You’ve Got Mail star denied having any alterations to her face, but plastic surgeon named Mark Youssef who analyzed Ryan’s face to Hollywood Life revealed that the actress has had “so many alterations”.

“The most obvious thing that she’s had done is some sort of filler or fat transfer to her cheek,” he shared with the outlet. “It’s definitelyecause the apple of her cheek is too full and too large. When she smiles, all of that filler moves up and makes her eyes look smaller.”

“The reason she looks masculine is because of the placement of the volume in her cheeks. The volume of the filler should have been placed more laterally to give her a softer look.”

Youssef further claimed that she had done several treatments including a nose job, facelift procedure, and Botox.

“The tip of her nose is narrower than before. The tip looks more pinched, so it’s very possible that she had some sort of rhinoplasty,” The skin expert also “The surgery that most drastically changes the shape of the face is a face lift. It looks like Meg Ryan may have had one. It’s possible because the shape of her face has changed so much. The texture of her face also looks different. It looks like she could have had some sort of laser skin resurfacing procedure.”
