Just in: Lisa Marie Presley, 54, has died after suffering cardiac arrest: Priscilla confirmed the news, saying that her ‘beautiful daughter has left us’ as she rushed to her bedside after suffering cardiac arrest.
She died at 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Calabasas, California, home, where she lived with her mother.
The only child of the rock’n’roll legend lost consciousness at her home in Calabasas on Thursday, and according to TMZ reports she died after going in to a full Cardiac arrest.
Some sources revealed to the outlet that the paramedics came to her home instantly and performed CPR on the 54-year-old singer and songwriter when she collapsed at her place.
After getting her pulse back the medical team transferred her into the hospital which was near to her home.
“EMTs responded to a call reporting a possible cardiac arrest at Presley’s home in Calabasas, Calif., and upon arrival, paramedics performed CPR on the 54-year-old and administered epinephrine.”
As per Daily Mail reports, “Her mother Priscilla was seen arriving at the hospital, to support her daughter, an hour after reports of the medical episode. ”
On Tuesday, just two days before her death the singer attended the Golden Globe Award Ceremony with her mother, Priscilla Presley, they both were present there to support the cast of ‘Elvis’, and also saw Austin Butler who won the award for his role of Lisa’s father, an iconic singer named Elvis Presley.
In his acceptance speech, Butler thanked them and said, “The Presley family, thank you, guys, for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he told the Tennessee natives. “Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever. ”
The Dirty Laundry singer along with her mother spotted teary-eyed when the actor was giving the heart-touching speech.
From the past few years the mother of four kids had been suffering from several health diseases, and one time she also admitted publicly that she was very ‘grateful’ for her life
As per The Mirror, The singer was drug addicted in the past. According to the reports she had this problem in 2009, right after the birth of her two daughters named Harper and Finley.
“Her addiction came despite losing her father after he developed a ‘dangerous dependence on prescription drugs’, and her ex-husband Michael Jackson after he too had a complication with drug use.”
In her memoir, the singer wrote while referencing her father’s death who had died in the year 1977, when Lisa was just a 9-year-old kid.
“Youmay read this and wonder how, after losing people close to me, I also fell prey to opioids,”
Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley recently issued a short statement regarding her daughter’s situation. She shared with People,
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world and ask for privacy at this time.”
