A Shirtless Man Shut Down by His Girlfriend While He Was Trying to Propose Her at Islander’s NHL Game

A shirtless man’s proposal went terribly wrong when he was trying to propose his girlfriend at the Islanders VS. Panthers hockey match.

According to the Daily Mail, when the game was going on the ‘kiss cam’ caught the unknown New Yorker with his girlfriend who took the advantage of the situation and instantly tried to propose his girlfriend.

Everything was going smooth until he removed his shirt in front of everyone and then got down on his knees to popped the question.

“Stumping up immense courage, the unidentified man took his shirt off — his chest romantically emblazoned with ‘Plz say yes yes yes’ — and got down on one knee in front of 17,255 fans on the opening night of the Islanders’ NHL season vs. the Florida Panthers.”

In the viral video the crowd were seen shouting ‘just say no’. The girl who were looking emotional and exciting at the same time stood up after some seconds and after talking with her boyfriend for a while she walked away.

When they both were exchanging some words, everyone was wondering that she would probably going to say yes and then everyone will congratulate the happy couple. But things took a turn when she shut the poor shirtless guy down and left the stadium quickly.

All the people who were there at that moment started to gasped when the girl in the orange cap stormed away. After having so much embarrassment the disappointed man sat again on his chair with his beer.

The now-viral video is making rounds everywhere on the internet. However, the people couldn’t find out that what she said to him before walking away.

As per Daily Mail reported, “While the broadcast reported the woman said yes in the immediate aftermath of the proposal, social media and press reports suggest otherwise.”

After this incident happened the sports writer named Dan Rosan made a Tweet in which he wrote, “Kiss cam time, and a guy takes off his shirt and written on his chest is “PLZ SAY YES YES YES.” He gets down on one knee and proposes. Camera cuts away. But I could see them from the press box. The girl got up and left. She flat out left. And the Panthers scored. Can’t make it up.”

One person also claimed in his Tweet that he was there at that time and he witnessed the entire situation live and felt so bad for the man as his girlfriend said NO to his proposal.

Another Twitter user came with his advised in his Tweet where he wrote that, everyone should have the idea about the possible upcoming response they can get from their partner.

“I have always said that no one should ever propose marriage unless they absolutely already know what the answer is going to be. How do you know? When your girlfriend keeps reminding you that she’s not content to just be a girlfriend forever.”
