Homeless Single Dad Brought to Tears as He Received Thousands of Dollars from Strangers to Buy New RV

A dad from Washington who has been living in a car along with his two kids brought in tears when he received $17,000 from strangers to get a new RV.

A man named Lucius Allure who shared his financial struggles on TikTok said that he doesn’t have any place to live that’s why he along with his two kids has been living in a car.

He also revealed that sometime before he and his ex-wife broke up and during that time he spent a lot of his money on lawyers for their divorce settlement.

Lucius’s boss also kicked out him of his job after knowing that he was in severe debt, and that thing made his life more difficult.

Then, he had to move out of his home with his two kids because he couldn’t able to afford to live in a home and they started to live in a car that he had owned.

Lucius said in the video, “Please don’t scroll. These are my kids, this is where we live,’

The father of two moved the camera and showed the viewers how he has been sleeping in that car that has a lot of stuff with his kids, he also said that he had no place to go and only had this car-house to live in as his dad is making the payments on the car.

“He’s cosigned with me to get us this car,” he described. “It’s been getting hard for him to pay it and because it’s just me doing the duties of both parents and working to make money and living in the current living situation, it makes it very hard for us to make money.”

The homeless father told that he found a van that is bigger than his current car, and according to him, it would be perfect for them to sleep in.

He Received Thousands of Dollars

“We just found a van for $6,000 that would be absolutely perfect for us. It’s seriously beautiful and perfect for us and really feels like an alignment. The van would give my kids their own bunks, instead of a little seat to sleep in. It has a pop-up tent on the roof, so it would give me a whole room for myself.”

He also said that the van also has a kitchen so it would become easy for him to cook food and reduce his stress of paying more on buying food.

“The RV would also make it so we don’t have to juggle stuff around every time we want to get something. We really need more space.”

Then he requested the viewers to donate some money to him so that he can purchase the RV to make his temporary living condition better and could focus on his work more as he is not doing his work efficiently in his car-house.

“We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign, and we would be so grateful if you could help us out by donating or sharing our story with your friends and family. The link to our GoFundMe is in our bio. Thank you so much for your kindness and support,” he wrote on his TikTok video.

The video clip crossed almost 2 million views on the social media platform, many people showed their support towards the family of three.

kindness and support

Just after three of setting up the GoFundMe for raising funds to get his new RV, he received over $18,000 from strangers on social media.

In a recent clip, Allure could be seen showing gratitude to all the people who has donated the money by saying he could not feel more grateful ever.

“We did it!!! All because of YOU!!! We are so incredibly grateful for every single person who donated, shared our story, and supported us on this journey,” Lucius captioned his second video, where his kids were looking too excited as they are going to move into a higher van in which they can sleep peacefully.

All because of YOU

“Thanks to you, we’ve not only met but exceeded our GoFundMe goal, and we’re one step closer to getting a new home on wheels. We can’t even begin to express how much this means to us – each and every one of you has literally just changed our lives for the better. We couldn’t have done it without your help and kindness, and we’re so excited to start this new chapter of our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”
