Dalai Lama, 87 Apologizes after he kissed a Young Boy and Asked Him to ‘Suck His Tongue’

Dalai Lama regrets the incident.

He issued an apology after asking a minor boy to kiss him on his lips, in February, at an event in his temple, Dharamshala India.

The video clip of the bizarre interaction between Tenzin Gyatso and a young boy went viral on social media. The Footage shows the Dalai Lama kissing the child on the lips and then he asked him to suck his tongue.

It could also be seen in the video that when the child asked the Tibetan spiritual leader if he can hug him, he replied, “Okay – come!”

He first told the boy to kiss him on the cheek, and then asked him to kiss his lips. Gyatso was seen holding the boy’s face while they both were kissing briefly before the two pressed their foreheads together.

After that, he said to him, “And suck my tongue.”

Then the little boy did exactly what the Tibetan Buddhist leader ask him to do, at the same time the audience could be heard laughing in the background of the footage.

After going viral the video clip caused a stir on the internet, and many people bashed Gyatso and called him an immensely sick, disgusting person, and a Child predator.

“The Dalai Lama should be charged with Sexual Assault of a minor. Just because he is a religious leader he should not be immune from prosecution. No one should be allowed to get away with assaulting a child! He is a sick Child Predator!” someone wrote.

“To the people on here defending the Dalai Lama’s actions – you clearly don’t know a predator when you see one. Your unwavering ignorance is part of the problem,” a second added.

“The Dalai Lama tells a reporter that president Donald Trump lacks moral principle. Meanwhile, he asks a little Indian boy to ‘suck his tongue’ Let that sink in,” a third comment read.

“The Dalai Lama asked a little boy to suck his tongue and not one mainstream news outlet is asking what the heck is going on here. This is pedophilic, abusive and totally sick,” a fourth said.

“This sick, disturbing video of the Dalai Lama making a child suck his tongue emerged months ago, but it has only just now made waves on social media—prompting the “holy” man to issue an apology. Why wasn’t it a problem for him before it went viral?” another social media user asked.

“The Dalai Lama is a pedophile. The child was assaulted. No sane person is okay with what he did to that child and the worst part is this happens to so many kids cuz y’all normalize predatory behavior in close family members,” another said.

“Before China invaded Tibet, 98% of the population were either slaves or indentured servants. The Dalai Lama owned 27 mansions and over 6 thousand slaves. He would gouge their eyes out if they disobeyed him. He is a pedophile, and Buddhism is a demonic religion,” someone else wrote.

The apology statement that was issued by the Dalai Lama’s Office, claimed that the Buddhist leader regrets the incident.

“His holiness wishes to apologise to the boy and his family as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.

“His holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.” It was written on the statement.

According to so many people, His Holiness should face some charges of pedophilia after this incident.

“How kissing an underage boy is “playful”? Thats GROSS and the Dalai Lama should be accused of pedophilia. There are NO valid excuses to do that to ANY kid in the world, no matter “the culture” or religion. Watching that video made my stomach sick. STOP TOUCHING KIDS!!”

“Erm, it wasn’t just his words, but his paedophilic actions. Your note might pass as ok, if there wasn’t a video of this exact incident which is despicable on every level. Not sure what excuse you can make. Which man asks a child to suck his tongue other than a very sick one. It’s more of a confession if anything. I’d like to add that it has thrown a MASSIVE red flag and question mark over the behavior of the Dalia Lama if this is what he gets up to in public, I shudder to imagine, in private. Referring to him as “His Holiness” doesn’t forgive, but exacerbates.”

Gyatso has been living in exile in India since the year 1959, after China annexed Tibet.

“The global spotlight he enjoyed after winning the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize has dimmed and the deluge of invitations to hobnob with world leaders and Hollywood stars has slowed, partly because the ageing leader has cut back on his punishing travel schedule, but also due to China’s growing economic and political clout,” Daily Mail wrote.

The Tibetan spiritual leader has also faced accusations as he wanted to spill China, he was also called by ‘wolf in a monk’s robe.

He had apologized for his statement about woman in 2019, in which he said that if any woman wants to succeeded him so she should be more attractive.

The weird remarks of the Dalai Lama sparked a huge debate, and he had to face criticism from all over the world.

“He was ‘deeply sorry’ and ‘genuinely meant no offence’ after his comment sparked a global backlash,” as per Daily Mail.

“The monk’s office said his ‘off-the-cuff remarks’ had ‘lost their humour in translation’, insisting he was a strong supporter of women’s rights.”

According to the reports of CNN“The previous year, he suggested Europe should be kept for Europeans, when speaking about the rising level of African refugees entering the continent.”

“The whole Europe (will) eventually become Muslim country? Impossible. Or African country? Also impossible,” he said, adding that it’s better to “keep Europe for Europeans.”
