A woman who lives in Blackpool, England, decided to end her marriage with a heavy heart after spending eighteen years with her husband. However, now this single woman is living her life at its fullest.
In the year 2020, 42-year-old Emma end her long-term relationship with her husband. The mum of two suffered a lot because of her unsuccessful marriage.
As per Daily Mail, she got married with the love of her life in 2000, at that time she was just 22-years old and deeply in love with her ex-husband.
“I’d married for life. It was him, the girls, and work. I felt I’d got it all sorted,” Sheppard shared with SWNS.
While talking about her former relationship she told that in the beginning her marriage was quite good and everything was going great but after some years when she became the mother of her two daughters, their marriage started going downhill.
After spending many years in a broken relationship she finally decided to take a stand for herself and the former couple mutually decided to parted their ways.
“My husband moved out in January 2021. When he left me, I remained shattered for many months, questioning my worth and feeling worthless all the time,” she also said.
“But with time, I realized I wasn’t happy in my marriage, and what’s the point of staying in a relationship if it doesn’t make you happy,” Emma further added.
“Before, I’d always just worked hard and cared for everyone else. But, one day after we separated, I realized it was my turn.”
According to Emma 42, she wasted all the time in struggling to survive and didn’t pay attention to her until 2021. During her marriage time period she only looked drained and miserable but few months later after her divorce she decided to change her life for good.
“I looked old empty, and drained, but now I’m living my best life. I’m happy, and I look completely different.”
Talking about her looks with SWNS, she explained that when she was married to her former husband, she totally ignored herself and didn’t do anything to improve her looks, well being and appearance. However, after her divorce Emma, finally took a decision to change herself.
“I had no confidence in myself and was so isolated. I was just existing, working to pay the bills and just getting through,” Emma said.
“Then one day I woke up and thought, ‘You come from a family of strong women, you are free, and you can make a difference in your life.’”
“I realized I can be so much more,” she further told, It was like a force from somebody watching over me.”
She completely transformed herself in to better person by working on her physical appearance, fitness and mental health.
“I used to listen to Roar by Katy Perry; that song helped me a lot in transforming my life from being a loser to a hot-looking happy person,” she said.
“I started eating healthy and working out. I took an extra job in a cocktail bar and also went to the gym for weights and cardio, at least five days a week.”
She also shared her healthy eating habits which she had followed, she started adding homemade foods in her regular diet to maintain her fitness.
“I changed my eating habits, replacing egg and chips and bacon sandwiches with chicken pasta and homemade bolognaise. Everything about me is completely different now.”
“People say I look incredible compared to before, and I think it’s because I’m so happy inside,” she said while giggling.
“I’m so happy now that I’ve totally turned my life around. I glammed up and started going out again by setting up an account on Tinder,” the welfare case worker also told.
At the end of her interview with SWNS, Emma said that it was not easy and she went through a lot of things to transform herself from a homeless-looking woman to an attractive mother.
“I have received loads of attention, including from a man who claimed to have been on Love Island. I feel amazing, and it’s like the beauty comes from within. It’s like walking on air.”
