Liam Neeson Loved his Late Wife, Natasha Richardson So Hard as he chose to stay Faithful after her Death

Liam Neeson could not forget Natasha while raising his sons whom he loved unconditionally and she always remained in his heart.

In the year 1993, the Taken Superstar saw the love of his life for the very first time at the shoot of Anna Christie. During that time Natasha was a wife of a producer named Robert Fox, and Neeson was popularly known for his reputation as a ‘ladies’ man.

On 60 Minutes, Neeson said to Anderson, “I’d never had that kind of an explosive chemistry situation with an actor or actress,“We had just this wonderful kind of dance—free dance on stage every night. She and I were like [Fred] Astaire and [Ginger] Rogers.”

After her split with her ex-husband, Natasha fell in love with Liam and started dating him ignoring the fact that how famous he was among women.

She shared with the New York Daily “Working with him, what happened between us, and that becoming public knowledge in conjunction with my marriage falling apart, was kind of bad timing,”

“So what can I say? Obviously, I fell very much in love with him.”

Liam wished Natasha by sending her a card on the occasion of her 30th birthday in which he wrote, “You’re catching up with me. Lots of love, Oskar.”

After receiving his card, Natasha confronted him and asked a question regarding their relationship status.

She told, “This is like a letter from a buddy. What is our relationship?”

As per Liam, he was aware at that time that he had strong feelings for Natasha.

“That was when I knew I really loved this person. I thought, ‘This is real and genuine and is something that has to be protected,’” he told.

In 1994, they both got married on a farm in NYC.

The couple became the parents of two kids named Micheál & Daniel. The family began to live a happiest life for 16 years until things took an unexpected turn and their lives went upside down.

On 18, March, 2009, the two of them was present at the Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, when Natasha met an skiing accident which led her to serious head injury. After her accident, Natasha was instantly taken to the hospital, however her brain got damaged hardly after internal bleeding..

Talking to the CNN’S Anderson Cooper, Liam spoke about the most tragic day of his life:

“I was told she was brain dead. And seeing this X-ray, it was, like, “Wow.” You know. But obviously she was on life support and stuff. And I went in to her and told her I loved her. Said, “Sweetie, you’re not coming back from this. You’ve banged your head. It’s– I don’t know if you can hear me, but that’s– this is what’s gone down. And we’re bringing ya back to New York. All your family and friends will come.” And that was more or less it. You know?”

He further told about how they both made a pact and now the organs of her beloved wife are saving the lives of some people.

“She and I had made a pact. If any of us got into a vegetative state that we’d pull the plug. You know? So when I saw her and saw all these tubes and stuff, that was my immediate thought. Was, “OK, these tubes have to go. She’s gone.” But donated three of her organs, so she’s keeping three people alive at the moment. Yeah. Her heart, her kidneys and her liver.”

After losing their mother, their sons felt deeply traumatized. At the time of Natasha’s death, Micheál was just 13-years-old. Liam told about what that loss felt like.

In one of his interviews with Andy Cohen, Liam shared about his boy Micheál’s name that how he changer his last name to Richardson.

“I think he did the right thing. I think it was a lovely homage, a nice gesture, and he’s not saddled with my last name, which, I have a certain celebrity status, I guess.”,

He also talked about raising two teenage boys to GQ Magazine. As per the reports of ABC News,

“My boys are teenagers. They’re experimenting. They’re flexing muscles and sometimes dangerous avenues, and you think, ‘F***. If Tasha was here, someone could share this,’”

While speaking to Belfast Telegraph, Liam talked about the significance of a mother figure.

“Not having a mother figure definitely set the balance of the family off.”

when I hear the door opening

Several years of her tragic death, Liam told that he still feels the same pain in his heart that she is not here anymore with him and the thought of her not being alive will never leave him ever.

“There’re periods now when I hear the door opening,” the Backlight star said go the Loaded Magazine. “And I still think I’m going to hear her.”
