English singer, songwriter, and actor named Harry Styles is in hot water as he made a clueless remark while giving his Album of the Year acceptance speech.
Recently, the 29-year-old singer has won two Grammy awards, including the Album of the Year award for his third studio album and Best Pop Vocal Album for Harry’s House.
Styles took the mic and said, “Well, shit…”
“I’ve been so inspired by every artist in this category with me. A lot of different times in my life… I listen to everyone in this category when I’m alone,” He said.
The singer who won two Grammy awards this year also added, “I think on nights like tonight it’s important for us to remember there is no such thing as ‘best’ in music,” he said. “I don’t think any of us sit in the studio making decisions on what is going to get us one of these.”
And it was all going smooth until the Night Changes singer said, “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often. This is so so nice, thank you.”
After hearing Harry’s speech fans were left in shock about his last statement where he said,
“this doesn’t happen to people like me anymore.”
As per Buzzfeed, “Being that Harry is a cisgender white man who grew up in England, many people took issue with the inference that “people like” him are historically less likely to win big awards at the Grammys. Particularly considering that the overwhelming majority of Album of the Year winners since 1959 have been white cis men, just like Harry.”
Many people on the social media bashed him for his comment by saying that he should have thought at least one time before speaking something.
“This doesn’t happen to people like me often” who, white British men? Someone wrote on Twitter. “Don’t get me wrong I like harry styles I just don’t know why he said that specifically. Lmfao.”

“Harry styles said ‘this doesn’t happen to people like me very often’ and I gotta be honest I can’t think of a type of people this happens for more,” another person said.

“Absolutely Love Harry Styles and lots of his music. But…he was in the biggest boy band in the world, created on a reality television show, and he’s a white British millionaire,” a third one wrote.
“this doesn’t often happen to people like me” YOU’RE A CIS STRAIGHT WHITE BRITISH MALE WHO USES QUEER AESTHETICS TO MAKE UP FOR YOUR SUBPAR MUSIC TO REMAIN RELEVANT AFTER DISBANDING WITH THE BAND WHICH YOU HAD SECOND RATE VOCALS IN. IT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU ALL THE TIME! said another.

“Harry Styles can’t act and can’t sing, yet was in two movies this year and won AOTY. Never give up on your dreams, white dudes,” another comment read.
