On Wednesday, November 16, Gerard Pique was seen with his new girlfriend named Clara Chia.
The 35-year-old was spotted having fun after he had a dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Spain with the PR student.
“Pique was seen holding hands with the PR student, 23, as they stood and chatted outside the eatery following their meal.”
According to Daily Mail “Gerard’s outing with his new love comes after he and ex Shakira reached a custody agreement over their sons following their split earlier this year,”.
The couple was pictured together hanging out hand-in-hand and the footballer has been seen holding her handbag.
As per Daily Mail, “Gerard cut a casual figure for their date, opting for a plain white T-shirt which he teamed with dark jeans and black and white trainers.”
“Meanwhile, Clara went for a more dressed-up look, slipping into a black trouser suit and off-white loafers. The beauty at one point was seen balancing on one foot as she adjusted her sock.”
The romantic date night pictures of him started circulating after the news was confirmed that the sportsman and his former partner, the Latina singer Shakira has reached an agreement over the custody of their sons Milan and Sasha.
Last weekend Pique posted a heartfelt video on his social media account where he announced his retirement from football.
“It is the moment to end this stage of my life,” he said. “Football has given me everything. Barcelona has given me everything. You, culers (Barcelona fans), have given me everything.”
“And now that (this) kid’s dreams have come true, I want to tell you that I’ve decided that now is the time to bring this journey to its end.”
Pique played football as a Barca player until 2004. Later he joined Manchester United in 2004 for four years and then returned to Catalan Giants in the year 2008.
According to BBC, “During his time at Barcelona, he has played more than 600 games and won 30 trophies, including eight La Liga titles, three Champions League trophies, and seven Copa del Rey titles.”
At the end of the video, Gerard said that he’d rejoined the famous ground of Barca.
“You know me, sooner or later, I will be back. I’ll see you at Camp Nou. Long live Barca. Always.”
As per Daily Mail, after his retirement, Pique gave blessings to his ex-girlfriend, the Colombian superstar Shakira, as she wants to move to Miami along with their two boys over the New Year.
“Shakira’s wish to move to the city where she used to live and part of her family are based is understood to have been the principal sticking point in the couple’s previous failure to strike an out-of-court settlement.”
After a 12-hour lengthy meeting with the legal teams, the ex-couple decided mutually that they didn’t want to go for a long battle.
In their joint statement which was released on Tuesday, the duo revealed that they took this decision for their sons.
“We wish to communicate that we have signed an agreement that guarantees the welfare of our children and that will be ratified in court as part of a mere formal procedure.”
“Our sole objective is to provide them with the utmost security and protection, and we trust that their privacy will be respected.”
“We appreciate the interest shown and hope that the children can continue with their lives with the necessary privacy in a safe and calm environment.” – “Shakira and Gerard.”
