Former Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Tied the Knot on His 93rd Birthday for the 4th Time

Again! Buzz is on the moon.

Buzz Aldrin, the second man after Neil Armstrong to land on the moon got hitched again for the fourth time.

93-years-old Aldrin recently shared this news with his fans and followers via social media platform.

“On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot. We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Former astronaut Buzz also uploaded two photos of him along with his new bride.

In his recent photos, the engineer and fighter pilot who made three spacewalks as pilot of the 1966 Gemini 12 mission was seen with his new bride, she looked gorgeous wearing a white bridal gown adorned with stunning rhinestones.

As per Daily Mail, Dr Faur, 63, has done Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

“She currently works as the Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC, with her LinkedIn page listing her as having worked for the company since 2019.”

“She has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and at one point was the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council.”

Before his recent marriage, he had already been married and divorced three times.

In the year 1954, Buzz tied the knot for the first time with Joan Archer and the couple parted ways in 1974. The former couple share three children in which two sons named Andrew and James and a daughter, Janice are included.

The famous astronaut again got married in 1975, to Beverly Van Zile. After spending three years together the pair ended their marriage in 1978.

After getting divorced for the second time, he decided to remain single and then he stayed single for almost ten years.

In the year 1988, Buzz met Lois Driggs Cannon and fell for her, who later became his third wife. The duo got hitched in the same year and stayed together being married for 24 years. However, Buzz divorced his third wife, Driggs in the year 2012.

The astronaut legend has one grandson from his daughter Janice, three great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.

Aldrin has been recognized by the whole world since he saluted the American flag on the surface of moon during NASA’s Apollo XI Mission.

“He retired from NASA in 1971 and in 1998 founded the ShareSpace Foundation, a non-profit organization to promote the expansion of crewed space exploration.”
