The famous American rapper has already shared many things about his personal life and relationships. Everyone knows about his first daughter named Hailie with whom he shares strong bond as he already mentioned her in his song’s lyrics many times.
However, he has another daughter, Alaina Marie Mathers, whom the singer adopted legally but not many people know her.
Alaina has been living her life away from spotlight but he mentioned the 29-year-old in some of his later albums and revealed that he called her by the nickname ‘Lainey’.
Eminem adopted Alaina, daughter of Dawn Scott, the twin-sister of his ex-wife Kim Scott in mid-2000. In the year 1993, the little girl were born and they named her Amanda Marie Scott.
As per The Mirror,“Alaina, who was born Amanda Marie Scott in February 1993, grew up with her cousin Hailie, who became her adoptive sister because her biological mother battled drug addiction before sadly passing away in 2015.”
In the year 2004, while talking about his adopted daughter during an interview the Real Slim Shady rapper said,
“My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.”
After his interview in 2004, in which he talked openly about the relationship he has with Alaina the rapper started to mention her in his songs.
Eminem’s famous song, Mockingbird lyrics was,
“Lainey, uncle’s crazy ain’t he, yeah but he loves you girl, and you better know it.”
The musician further revealed that both of his daughters were growing together as sisters. “And Daddy’s still here, Lainey I’m talking to you too, Daddy’s still here. I like the sound of that, yeah, it’s got a ring to it, don’t it?”
One of his songs the singer sang, “You’re the Slim to my Shady. The Dre to my Eminem, the Alaina to my Hailie”.
Eminem also adopted one more daughter, Stevie, the biological daughter of his ex-wife Kimberly, whom she had with Eric Hartter.
In the year 2019, the Slim Shady hitmaker said that all of his three kids are his biggest achievement in life.
“It definitely is crazy. I have a niece that I have helped raise too that’s pretty much like a daughter to me and she is 26. And I have a younger one that’s 17 now.
“So when I think about my accomplishments that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of is being able to raise kids.”
According to The Mirror, Alaina was the student of Public Relations in the University of Oakland and has completed her graduation in 2017.
“Can’t believe on Saturday I (finally) graduate. None of this would have been possible without the help and love of my parents. Thankful is an understatement,” the 29-year-old wrote on her Instagram post.
Alaina has been using Instagram to give awareness about body positivity and she also advocate mental health it’s importance and how to deal with it.
Nowadays she is living her life at its fullest in Detroit with her long time boyfriend named Matt Moeller. The beautiful couple dated for almost seven years and then finally got engaged with each other in December 2021.
Alaina has 70K followers on her Instagram account where she likes to upload her dogs’ pictures most of the time and also shares some sweet moments of her lavish trips to different countries with her fiancé.
Sometimes she talks about the relationship she had with her biological parents on her social media account.
“I didn’t start calling my aunt and uncle mum and dad until I was older, but having a meshed family is what’s always been normal to me,” written by her in one of her posts.
“Side note; just because you birth a child or provide the sperm for a child doesn’t make you a parent.
“Some people think Mom and Dad titles should be earned. I always called my bio Mom and Dad, Mom and Dad but I respect if your ‘parents’ weren’t there if you don’t call them that. Boundaries is key.”
After losing her biological mom Dawn Scott in 2016, Alaina posted on her public account and shared a heart touching message for her ln Mother’s Day in which she wrote,
“Ya know, life is a funny thing. Never spent a Mother’s Day with my Mom in my entire life and now that I can’t I wish more than anything I could.
She further wrote, “Always missing you a lot during this time of the year, Mom. Can’t believe you would have been 43 in 3 days.”
