Allison Holker’s life took an unexpected turn, and her world has become changed four days after she celebrated her ninth wedding anniversary with her husband.
“It’s our 9th anniversary!!” on December 10, Holker wrote on her Instagram post.
“I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you, baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU.”
Boss also shared some photos from their reception on his Instagram. “Happy anniversary my love,” he wrote with different heart emojis.
And after three days later, the long time DJ on the Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, choreographer, actor, and television producer found dead at Los Angeles, hotel on December 13.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband, Stephen, has left us,” Holker told the outlet. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband, and father, and an inspiration to his fans,” On Wednesday Allison Holker confirmed to PEOPLE.
In the year 2006, the pair met each other for the very first time on their mutual friend’s party. But Allison doesn’t remember her meeting with the star at that party till now.
The couple appeared in the reality show’s season 7, So You Think You Can Dance in 2010, and then officially started knowing each other as co-stars.
They didn’t catch feelings instantly but became friends with each other. After the season’s wrap party, the duo got to know about their feelings for each other and then they decided to develop a romantic relationship.
Boss shared with PEOPLE, “We shared a dance at the wrap party of that season of So You Think You Can Dance and we have been together ever since.”
“There was no dialogue, there was no conversation or a first hangout. Literally, we danced and we were together holding hands the very next day,” Allison told.
After three years of dating, ‘tWitch’ Boss and Holker finally got married at SYTYCD creator Nigel Lythgoe’s Villa San-Juliette Vineyard & Winery in Paso Robles, Calif.
Now the pair has two children including 6-year-old son named Maddox and 3-year-old daughter, Zaia.
After his marriage with Allison, Stephen became stepfather to her daughter, Weslie, 14 which she shares with her former partner.
While speaking with PEOPLE Magazine in an interview in February 2020, the charming couple talked about parenting and told that they both are very hands-on parents.
Stephen also told the publication that, “[It’s] a little challenging [because] we have family in Utah and Arizona; our family’s spread out. But then also we have what would be our chosen family, our family friends in L.A., that are always there to help. And also we have nannies. And it does — it takes a whole village to run this thing.”
“I will say, as parents, we’re very, very hands-on parents. But as many people that you can have there to help you out with your kids — to love them, to share joy with them and laughter — it’s a win-win for everyone,” Allison shared.
In March 2020, couple of days before when the pandemic came and the world turned upside down, Holker sat and spoke with E! News in an interview where she shared that Stephen was one of the most genuine persons she ever met.
“He’s exactly who you see on TV in real life. He’s not putting on a fake character, he’s not doing or saying anything if he knows he’s gonna get a laugh. He’s 100 percent the most gentle, nicest, most generous human that I’ve ever met in my entire life, through and through.”
In February 2022, while speaking with PEOPLE, Allison said that just three days after dating Boss she started to fall for him and realized that he was her happy place.
“Three weeks into us dating, I told him that he was my one. I was so confident.”
The love birds attended the Critics Choice Association 5th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television on December 5, 2022, but nobody knew that it was their last red carpet appearance together.
