Brad Pitt claims that revengeful Angelina Jolie has secretly sold off her half of their shared French Vineyard to a Russian billionaire named Yuri Shefler to go back to him again during their ugly custody battle.
As per the legal documents obtained by Page Six, “the Bullet Train star claims that he and Jolie agreed they would never sell their share in the $30 million property — which they bought in 2008 — without the other’s approval.”
But, the Fight Club actor said he has found out that Jolie sold off her share to a Russian oligarch in a 2021 press release.
Brad’s attorney has filed the amendment complaint in Los Angeles court, which revealed,
“That was by design: Jolie collaborated in secret with Shefler and his associates to pursue and then consummate the purported sale, ensuring that Pitt would be kept in the dark,”
“Shefler’s Stoli company and Jolie knowingly violated Pitt’s and [his company] Mondo Bongo’s contractual rights and forced a stranger into Pitt’s family home,” the amendment read.
The former couple once agreed that they both would never sell their share $160 million Chateau Miraval business without each other’s concern. But, Angelina has evidently broken their agreement.
After their breakup, the Salt actress agreed to divide their property up 68 to 38 percent with her ex-partner Brad who is taking the most half because he was the one who invested the more money and time in all the projects. However, in the year 2021, Brad discovered that Angelina had sold off 50% of the stake without taking his permission.
According to the Fight Club star, his ex-wife, Jolie silently planned everything with Yuri Shefler, who is the owner of the Stoli group, and she just wanted to keep Brad unaware.
As per the case filing, Angelina didn’t sell it to Brad because they of their ugly legal batter over the custody of their six kids.
“Her decision to terminate negotiations with Pitt was intentional and pretextual,” the court document says. “As will be demonstrated at trial, Jolie’s actions were unlawful, severely and intentionally damaging Pitt and unjustly enriching herself.”
“Stoli and Jolie have sought to force Pitt into a partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions,” Brad alleges.
While denying all of Pitt’s claims, the Eternals star’s attorney said they both are, “frivolous, malicious, and part of a problematic pattern.”
In 2014, Angelina and Pitt started to date each other while Brad was married to Jennifer Anniston. The controversial couple dated for over ten years and then got married in 2014. But, despite being in a relationship for more than ten years and having six kids, they failed to save their marriage.
And eventually, Jolie applied for divorce in 2016, referring to irreconcilable differences, and requesting custody of her six kids without any demand of child support.
“Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time,” Jolie’s attorney shared with PEOPLE magazine during that time.
On the other hand, Brad said in his statement to the publication, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
