The parents with Belgian passports refused to pay for their kid’s ticket and left him alone at the Tel Aviv airport check-in.
The couple who were travelling from Tel Aviv Israel to Brussels abandoned their baby in the car seat at the check-in counter at Ben-Gurion airport.
When the airport staff saw the baby and noticed that his parents has left him alone, they immediately called the police. The police came and took the couple under custody for questioning.
According to The Sun, “After refusing to pay for one, they left their child in the stroller and walked to passport control, local media reported. Footage shows the little boy being left at the counter of the check-in desks. “
The manager of the Ryanair desk shared, “We’ve never seen anything like this. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.”
The airport staff also revealed to N12 that the parents were late for their flight.
“The couple arrived late for the flight after the flight’s check-in counters had closed. They left the basket with the baby and wanted to go up to the security check-in Terminal 1 to get to the departure gate.”
The couple planned to abandon their son on the conveyor belt while going through security.
“According to Ryanair, people traveling with a child can either pay around £25 for a lap seat or can buy a separate seat at a standard adult fare.”
“Footage shows shocked check-in workers moving a blanket off a baby car seat to see the very small baby inside.” The Mirror reported.
The previous year, a plane landed at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam international airport in Mauritius, where the airport staff found a newly born baby boy in the rubbish bin of the plane.
This incident happened on New Year’s Day.
As per BBC, “A 20-year-old woman from Madagascar, suspected of having given birth on the flight, was arrested.”
“Airport officers made the discovery when they screened the plane for a routine customs check.”
“They rushed the baby to a public hospital for treatment.”
The suspicious woman was constantly refusing to accept that he was her kid, so she had to go through a medical examination which confirmed that she was the mother of the baby.
“She was placed under police surveillance at the hospital.”
