An Olympian named Lolo Jones who lives in America ruined her dating life by revealing that she is still a virgin at the age of 40.
In US history, Lolo is the most successful hurdler in the US and she has also won NCAA titles and eleven American honors for her accomplishments.
As per Daily Mail, “The sports star, originally from Iowa – who was already breaking track records by the time she graduated college – has become one of the most accomplished hurdlers in the world.”
A US-based Olympian has talked about her values and said that when she decided not to have intimate relationships with anyone before marriage she was steadfast about it.
However, because of her decision, the highly talented sportswoman struggled a lot in search of love. Undoubtedly she is one of the most acclaimed athletes in the US but failed to find the right partner for her until the age of 40.
According to the Daily Mail, “The bobsledder first revealed that she was a virgin in 2012, right before she headed to London for her second stint in the Olympics, explaining in an interview at the time that she wanted to save herself as a ‘gift’ for her husband. “
Now it’s been a decade and Lolo is still a 40-years-old lonely woman who is trying to find love. The main reason she couldn’t find her Mr Right is that almost all the men left her when they got to know that she has not been in a sexual relationship with any guy yet.
“And most recently, she faced another devastating blow when she revealed that she had been ‘stalked’ by three different men over the last year who ‘crossed the line, jeopardized her and her friend’s safety, and altered her life.”
She openly talked about her decision of waiting until she get married in the year 2012 for the very first time at that time Lolo was 29 years old. The sprinter told that she is a strong-faith woman and made this decision because she didn’t like her parents’ disorderly relationship, who had five children including Lolo and was still unmarried.
Jones was just a little kid when her parents got separated and then she started living her life in poverty with her single mother.
She shared that revealing the truth about herself turned back many people who left her just because she never got into a physical relationship with any guy.
“It’s just something, a gift I want to give to my husband,” she said. “But please understand, this journey has been hard. There are virgins out there, I’m gonna let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” she said in her interview with HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.
“Harder than training for the Olympics,” she further told. “Harder than graduating from college has been to stay a virgin before marriage. I’ve had plenty of opportunities… I’ve had guys tell me, they are like, “Hey, you know, if you have sex it will help you run faster.’”
“My mom, she was with my dad for 20 years, never got married and they’re not together anymore. So I just want to have that solid bond,” she also added.
While giving another interview to Kevin Hart on his podcast, Cold as Balls in the year 2020 she admitted that it was her biggest mistake that she opened up about her virginity.
“That killed all my dates after that. Like, I didn’t even have a chance,” Lolo shared with Kevin. “Before, at least I had a chance.”
“Before, I’d like, tiptoe, ‘Okay, when’s a good time to tell him? Do I wait until he sees my personality a little bit? Or do I just drop the bomb?’”
In 2021, after one year the three times world champion went to her Instagram account where she said that she has become disappointed with her life because her heart had been broken so many times and the hope to find love has been dead now.
“I’m really just bored with dating,” she wrote. “I think after so many times of getting your hopes up that you will meet your person… You just get over it. You give up hope.”
“Look I’m no spring chicken. I’m 38 years old. I’m not at an age where I can pretend. It’s hard to date. It’s always the same story, picking between two extremes. One guy is a Christian one guy is not.”
The athlete uploaded a heartbroken video on her Instagram where she spoke about how much she was terrified of turning 40 without any partner with whom she can start her family.
“I am about to be 40. Is it too late to freeze my eggs?” the runner wrote.
“I have made the right move to prepare for a family if I and my husband want to try to have kids one day, we have options,” she told in her tearful video.
“No one should be shamed for taking their time to figure out who their life partner is. A woman shouldn’t be shamed for wanting biological kids or wanting to know what it’s like to be pregnant and carry her own child.”
